An unforgettable story of friendship, self-belief and love. Amber, Maali, Sky and Rose are not like everyone else and they don’t want to be. Becoming friends gives them the courage to be themselves.

The moonlight dreamers is a captivating story for readers 12+ about standing out from the crowd and being different. I love how the story keeps switching between characters, which helps you understand each of the girls’ issues and points of view.

Nothing extremely exiting happens in it but I fell that nothing major needs to occur as you follow the girls through their varied everyday lives. This story digs deep into what each friend is doing and shows that you don’t have to be the same as everyone else, which is a great message to get out to teenage girls.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to a friend who doesn’t want to read particularly scary, romantic or action packed books and would like a relaxed read. I would give the moonlight dreamers ***** because it was enjoyable to read and addressed real problems that go on here and now all of the time.

Disclaimer: Walker books have sent me a proof copy of The moonlight dreamers in exchange for an honest review. This, in no way, changes my opinions or views of the book or company.
